Ok, i'm back focussing on my illustration styles and artwork for 'Fruition', an animation I have roughly storyboarded. It's quite a focus for me up until christmas, and 2010.

Especially as this blog was intended mainly for images related to the development of the look of this proj, incl. characters etc... to also help me look back over some key images myself.

I've created a set on Flickr, for all the related images, but this blog may provide more info on the side.


The short animation is all about the mind - its many distortions - and the dreams that burn, change or are born...

i've been meaning to update a previous image idea and am pretty pleased with results. and with now more formal techniques for enhancing pencil sketches.

the revolutionary lives of the english Romantics have interested me for ages, and there is more emotion there that can ever fit into movie productions...you have to read.

I love the texture that pencil leaves on paper, and combining this with digital powers, leaves a cool mix of old and new, to my mind. mostly old maybe but then...everything is old.
